Local Attractions

The Cherry Tree is not situated in a recognised tourist area but there are still many sites of interest within the vicinity.

Wymondham is a traditional Norfolk market town with a good range of independent shops and retailers to explore.

There is The Bridewell Museum, which is well worth a visit and you cannot go to Wymondham without visiting The Abbey.

The Mid-Norfolk Railway has re-opened the line between Wymondham and Dereham and the trains run between the two towns at times throughout the year.

Hingham was the birthplace of the ancestors of President Abraham Lincoln and coming more up to date is now home to The Lotus Racing F1 Team. This village also has a good range of shops and outlets for a unique shopping experience.

In Wicklewood itself there is an interesting tower windmill that is open to the public on certain days.

There is no shop or post office but the village is home to many small businesses including an art gallery, a picture framer, nurseries and a cattery.

Witch Hazel bed & breakfast comes highly recommended and is of the highest standard.

And of course Wicklewood boasts an excellent Cricket Club!
